I could tell they were advancing from the smoke that was on the horizon. Many fled, but I stayed. They are snarling outside the door. I will hold this house, as my ancestors would have done. I hid our treasure under the stone stairs. It will be safe and sound, far away from their clutches. When they come, I will be prepared.
