Enshrouded Chest Finder

Upload your Enshrouded save file and instantly browse every chest, storage container, and inventory slot in your world. Search by item name to find where you stashed that one specific resource, or filter by storage type to inventory entire bases at a glance.

The Chest Finder reads the same KSC1 save format the game itself writes, so you see the world exactly as the game does - including chests you've moved or renamed, and items only you have access to.

How it works

  1. Click "Upload Save" in the tool above.
  2. Select your Enshrouded save file - typically found under %LocalAppData%\Enshrouded\Saves on Windows or in the corresponding directory on consoles via cloud export.
  3. The parser extracts every chest, mannequin, equipment rack, and inventory container, indexing the items inside.
  4. Search by name, filter by chest type, or browse a 3D view of the storage layout.
  5. Optional: enable cloud sync with a one-click sign-in to access your saves from another device, or generate a shareable depot link to send a snapshot to friends or guild members.

What you can find

Sharing world saves

Use the Shroud Depot feature to publish a read-only snapshot of your inventory at a custom short URL like gamevault.in/my-base. Useful for:

Depot links are revocable from the same UI that creates them, and updates push to the existing URL so the link stays stable for as long as you want.

Privacy and security

Save parsing happens entirely in your browser. The file never leaves your machine unless you explicitly enable cloud sync or publish a depot share. Cloud-stored saves are encrypted at rest and accessible only to the account that uploaded them.

The hash-to-name mapping that lets the tool translate raw game IDs into human-readable item names is fetched on demand over an authenticated channel, so the underlying data stays protected while still being available to the tool.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Chest Finder work with the latest Enshrouded patch?

Yes. The parser supports both the legacy and current KSC1 save formats Keen Games has shipped, and the item dictionary is updated alongside every patch.

Can I scan saves from a friend's world?

Yes, as long as you have the save file. The parser doesn't validate ownership - it reads whatever you upload locally. Use the Shroud Depot feature if you want them to view yours without sending the raw save.

What if my save file is huge?

The parser streams the file and processes sections incrementally. Multi-hundred-megabyte endgame saves work fine; the bottleneck is usually browser memory, not parser speed.

How do I delete a published depot share?

Open the depot URL while signed in - the "Delete" action appears in the menu. The slug becomes available for reuse immediately after deletion.

Is the Chest Finder free?

The web tool is free and supported by ads. Get the mobile app for an ad-free experience with the same parser running on Android and iOS.
